"Why Do We Have Difficulties When Working With Children With High Disabilities?"

Our faculty member of the Department of Basic Education, Dr. Emine Ayyıldız, from the lessons in the distance education environment, at the Special Education Academy, Visually Impaired and Severe and Multiple Disabilities Education Program, coordinated by the Special Education Specialist Seda Karakaşoğlu and conducted by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education within the scope of Teacher Academies.

Dr. Ayyıldız gave a lecture titled "Why Do We Have Difficulties When Working With Children With High Disabilities? What We Know, Our Prejudices and Realities" between 20:30 and 22:00. In this lesson, Dr. Ayyıldız shared her knowledge and experiences with our special education teachers about our children who are multi-ımpaired blind children (ÇEG), as well as the real capacities of the ÇEG children and the needs of them and their families, and the difficulties faced by the experts working with these children in the field.

Finally, information errors, prejudices and facts regarding the ÇEG children were examined by comparing them with each other. The lesson was ended after answering the questions.
