One of the faculty members of our Basic Education Department, Dr. Kevser KOÇ took place as a speaker at the seminar titled "We Meet at Twinning Projects: Science and Nature Education in Montessori System" held on March 13, 2021. The seminar was conducted by 27 teachers working in Muğla, Konya, Mersin, Ankara, Istanbul, Zonguldak, Isparta, Siirt, Samsun, Burdur, Aydın and Kayseri. Within the scope of the 'Teaching Box-Teaching Box', 'I Exploring Nature with STEaM' and 'The Adventure of the Core-Filled Eco Activities from the Core' e Twinning projects carried out by the relevant coordinators, teachers and parents were informed about the subject of Science and Nature Education in the Montessori System.
During the speech, the goals such as ensuring that children internalize and embrace the nature we are a part of, enable them to recognize the problems related to the natural environment and develop the ability to produce solutions, and encouraging children to be respectful to the universe and their own self-values were emphasized.
The seminar was ended after the answering questions of the participants, which continued efficiently with the participation of teachers and parents from various provinces.
