Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kevser Koç, a faculty member of the Department of Elementary Education, along with three graduate students—Gonca Kiriş, Merve Şirikçi Turhan, and Ceren Yeşil, all of whom she supervised in the master's program—attended the 11th International EJER Conference held at Kocaeli University. They presented oral presentations based on parts of their graduation theses.
Gonca Kiriş, currently a student in the Classroom Education Master's Program under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kevser Koç, presented a paper titled "Investigation of the Cognitive Reactions of Kindergarten Students to 'Pezzettino' and 'Three Cats and One Wish' Books." Merve Şirikçi Turhan, one of our graduates, presented a paper titled "Helping Children in Risk Groups to Develop Spatial Skills: A Comparative Case Study with Four Children," and Ceren Yeşil, another graduate, participated with a paper titled "How Does Encountering Individuals with Special Needs in Illustrated Children's Books Affect Children's Thoughts?"
After the successful oral presentations, our students shared their knowledge and experiences with the audience during the question-and-answer session. This year's theme of the conference, which included invited speakers and participants from different countries and featured over 800 papers, was "Designing the Future: Changing Paradigms and Transhumanism with Artificial Intelligence in Education." The conference concluded successfully.
