Meeting within the scope of TOMIMEUs ERASMUS KA2 Project was Held

Towards a Multisensory and Inclusive Museum for Individuals with Sensory Disabilities (ToMiMEUs), for which our University is a project partner, (code 2019-1-RO01-KA202-063245), European Union, Erasmus as part of the KA2 project, inclusive learning experiences (IO5) were held at the Istanbul Railway Museum on January 16, 2022. Developed in cooperation with the project partners TCDD and IMU, “Passengers to the train, the train is leaving!” The event was held with the participation of children between the ages of 6 and 12 with various levels of visual and hearing impairment and developed in cooperation with the project partners TCDD and IMU, “Passengers get on the train, the train is leaving!” The event was held with the participation of children between the ages of 6 and 12 with various levels of visual and hearing impairment. Accompanied by museum personnel trained within the scope of the project, the children first got to know the museum. Afterwards, they experienced various materials and roles in the museum through creative drama activities. After the drama activity, the children drew and painted pictures about the environment and things they knew and experienced within the scope of the activity. After the art studies, our University Project Coordinator Dr. Emine Ayyıldız, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özcan Erkan Akgün, Dr. Ayşe Tuğba Öner and research assistant H. Sümeyra Bilici Albayrak held interviews with the children and their parents. After the event process was completed, the evaluation of the day was made. It was decided to continue the integrative learning activities in February, March, and April.

The fourth transnational partners meeting of the TOMIMEUs ERASMUS KA2 Project was held in Istanbul on 24-25 January 2022. The project meeting was hosted by TCDD and in partnership with Istanbul Medeniyet University, Project Coordinator Dr. Emine Ayyıldız, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özcan Erkan Akgün, Dr. Ayşe Tuğba Öner and research assistant H. Sümeyra Bilici Albayrak. A sharing was made about the integrative learning activity held at the Istanbul Railway Museum on January 16, 2022. At the meeting where the project partners from Hungary, Romania, Serbia, and Greece were also present, plans were made for the "Best Practices Guide (IO6)" Booklet and the "Multiplier Event" to be held by our University in April.
